University of North Texas and the Postsecondary Commission partner to pilot the Postsecondary Commission’s accreditation model

DENTON (ҹɫƵ), Texas — The (ҹɫƵ) and the (PSC) announced a partnership in which ҹɫƵ will seek accreditation from PSC according to its standards, policies and procedures.

PSC is an accreditor seeking recognition by the U.S. Department of Education and is focused on higher education institutions that produce strong economic outcomes for their students. ҹɫƵ’s current and primary accreditation with the (SACSCOC) is not affected by its partnership with PSC.

PSC is dedicated to working with institutions that produce strong and measurable economic outcomes for their students,” PSC Founder and President Stig Leschly said. “We are thrilled to partner with ҹɫƵ and President Keller, who has a long history of using data to improve educational outcomes in Texas.”

PSC’s accreditation model emphasizes accountability for student outcomes, including economic returns an institution generates for its students.

“We recognize the important role that ҹɫƵ plays in the Dallas-Fort Worth community and in the Texas higher education system,” said Jen Dirmeyer, PSC vice president of accreditation. “Working with ҹɫƵ and its leadership will strengthen PSC’s accreditation model and bring much deserved visibility to the institution’s outcomes.”
